Darren Recently sang at a CHARITY FUND RAISER

On March 17, 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, Muhammad Ali and Michael J. Fox Joined celebrities to raise funds for local charities at Muhammad Ali's seventh annual Celebrity Fight Night. The event netted more than $1 million in charitable donations for Valley and national charities including the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Research Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix and Crisis Nursery. The evening's musical line up included performances by The Village People, Hootie and the Blowfish, Brian McKnight, Darren Hayes of Savage Garden, Kenny G. and Sister Sledge who ended the evening with their hit "We Are Family."

Blockbuster Awards 2001

Savage Garden is up for Favorite Group - Pop at the Blockbuster 2001 Awards. The nominees are: 98 Degrees — Revelation, Backstreet Boys — Black & Blue, Destiny's Child — The Writing's On the Wall, *NSYNC — No Strings Attached, and Savage Garden — Affirmation. The online voting polls closed on February 19. Thanks to all the fans that joined in to vote for the guys. You Rock! Tune in to the Blockbuster Awards on your local FOX station this week...8PM EST, Wednesday, April 11 to see if our guys won.

A change in the release date for "Chained To You"

The release date for "Chained to You" was previously reported as February 26, 2001. "Chained To You" will actually be IN STORES in Sweden on MAY 14, 2001, not February.

The voting has closed for The Capital FM Awards 2001. Now we just have to wait to see the results. Savage Garden is up for 3 of their awards...Best International Group, Best Live Act, Favorite Single By An International Artist. The Awards will be presented on April 11 so be sure to tune into Capital FM London that day to see how the guys did.

Danish charts for "The Best Thing"

The Best Thing premiered on Denmark's Tjeklisten (Danish National Radio Top 20) at #10. TBT charted higher than the other new entries..."All For You" by Janet Jackson (#16) and "Never Had A Dream Come True" by S Club 7 (#19). I heard they moved up to #6 this week! way to go SG !

"Declaration" album is released in Europe

The repackaged Affirmation album with the bonus "Live" Album "Declaration" has been released in parts of Europe and is getting really great reviews and selling fast. Listening to "Declaration" will bring back vivid memories of attending their concerts last year. It is so awesome! Also "The Future of Earthly Delights" 2 cd set with the debut album was also released there recently so ask your music stores for it if you don't already have it!
